My boys are down with cough and cold. Runny nose and baby is a very bad mix! Cough and tot is not pleasant either! Its just NOT very nice when they are sick. So when they are not well, I am usually unusually busy. Vincent had other commitments with his Modem yesterday night. Most nights Vincent will play with Clement but since dad was not here, so mum will do. I was fooling around with Clement - flying planes and driving trucks in the house (imaginary ones, of course). Did I say that they need alot of attention when they are not well? So yes… took our masks and make silly faces!

Clement and I decided to have a little fun! We laughed so much for just being silly and that 10 minutes was so fun and pure joy! I am glad I took that few minutes out from my cooking session. Bless this little child of mine.

Took this shot when Ed was about 5 months old. He is a very eager baby and want to be with the BIG brother whenever he gets a chance. I was trying to consolidate the photos and videos that I have in my camera and I was looking at this clip with Clement. We watched it about 10 times and Clement always laughed at the same scene…its when I zoom in to Edgar. For some reason Clement found it very amusing and so we watched it again and again and again…I don’t know the real reason for his laughter but I hope that you will feel happy too when you watch it.

Now that Edgar is slowly getting use to me feeding the baby rice, soon he will have to try other foods. So I cleaned all the tools and gears required for making loads of puree. I just realised that I actually enjoying making them. Its so much fun in the process and am learning to make a new recipes, yes NEW recipes. Babies are like us too, they get bored eating the same thing every day! I think I am more adventurous this time with Ed, with Clem I was not willing to try veggies that we didn’t usually eat but this time I will try to do something different. I just hope that Edgar is as willing to eat them. *fingers crossed*
Lots to do, I did the carrots and sweet potatoes and going to try the squash next. I did pear today and still have the apples to do. My old faithful hand held blender, just bought the extra large silicone cube tray (just love it! Should have gotten it earlier - what was I thinking!). The pear looks blend and not very appetising but its sweet and full of goodness, hopefully Ed will like them!
Big day for the little man today! I was contemplating whether to start introducing solids or not! I wanted to wait and monitor, first of all, if Ed does not finish his milk on any of the meals, he will wake up prematurely and wants a suck on the breasts. This, took place 3 times this week and I was convinced that it was time to do it! I have almost forgotten how to wean a baby. I remembered it was a learning process with Clement and I thought this time I would be an expert, what expert? Every child is different therefore the learning process is different. Thank God I didn’t have to start from ‘basic’, I knew what to expect and what to look out for!
I managed to cleaned and sterilised all the spoons and bowls which I kept, they are still in good condition and I remembered clearly that I enjoyed those times. It was always cooking and freezing those pureed veggies and fruits, wonderful colours cubes that were mix and match at each meal.

Edgar is not an ‘eater’ not as much as Clement. Clement loves his food. Edgar eats when he is hungry, that’s about it, I don’t think he actually enjoys them. I guess if I cook some yummy puree (that can’t be that hard!) he might actually enjoy it after all. Anyway, the first of the many to come, sat him down and tried with baby rice! Took some video of it and obviously I could not stop laughing! So the video quality might not be that great. He is too cute! He didn’t take much but it was a good try out and tomorrow we will make it better!

Vincent is keen in exercising and keeping fit and living a healthy routine and am pleased for him. So now he just needs to keep up and keep consistent with his exercise.
So he decided to participate in a duathlon in September. This was a charity event by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where both Clement and Edgar were born. It was a run and then cycle and then another run. Every one was a winner that day. We were there to support him and making a big deal out of it. The children enjoyed it and it was a great family day out!
Took this photo a few weeks ago and he is so so cute!
We are still trying to get him into a routine and Edgar will have to follow suit with all the activities that’s going on around the house basically! Sometimes I really feel it for him, there are days we have to wake him to put him in the car seat to drop off or to pick up Clement from the nursery. Next week Clement will be spending some time with his grandparents and we hope to have sometime alone with Edgar!
Edgar found his hands 1 month back and now he is able to hold things in his hands and put it in his mouth. Oh he talks alot too! Gurgles all the time when he is awake, he chuckles alot too! For a baby his age he is progressing well! He still cries alot when about to go down for a sleep. The problem is that he wants to suck but he does not like the dummy, nor his thumb and he wants to go for the nipple all the time and he is not getting it. So crying is the only way he could express himself … LOUD and CLEAR!

Mark Harris - Find Your Wings
It’s only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I’ll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I’ll want to know
You’re walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
Chorus:
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I’m here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
Chorus:
It’s not living if you don’t reach for the sky
I’ll have tears as you take off
But I’ll cheer as you fly
I was super tired, didn’t get enough and proper rest. Even if I sleep, I am still being dominated by the little one. Edgar is occupying my space. It’s amazing how a little person takes so much energy and strength out of an adult, a healthy adult! Yesterday, I needed a break, so I have so kindly begged (well, he didn’t have much of a choice as I was super tired and grumpy) Vincent to take the children to the park. Time off from the children does not mean time off for me completely. So I took time to make dinner for the family. The house was quiet and it was nice to cook like that as I don’t get alot of opportunity doing that. Here was the outcome of it. Roast Chicken (marinade with home-made special sauce), roast potatoes and beans.

These are just collection of photos when Edgar was born. He was having jaundice for over 3 weeks. I think his jaundice was more serious than Clement’s but the hospital, midwives and health visitor just said to put under natural light. If we had gone with the medical option it would be better for him.

Just 2 weeks old…His eyes were much bigger and rounder now.

He is very alert and a light sleeper. Wants attention all the time!

I wish he would sleep more… peacefully that is.

It was the day after my mum left us to go back to Singapore. We miss her!

Here I come …going to start sucking my hands, fingers and thumb.

He is super cute when he puts his hands together like that! Love you son!
Ed has been a blessing to the family, since he is the last addition to the family, everyone loves and adores him. Here are evidence of it!
